We are currently hiring for the the following positions. To apply, please pick up an application from a receptionist. 


Receptionists manage incoming and outgoing clients, patients and telephone calls and direct the flow of people and information through the hospital. All of this is done with a customer service orientation, always keeping the client’s perspective in mind and working to exceed their expectations. The ideal applicant must be comfortable and skilled multitasking in a busy environment with pets and people.

Receptionist Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting clients and pets and ensuring their time in the reception area is a positive experience!

  • Answer client inquiries about basic animal husbandry and veterinary care including vaccinations

  • Accurately relay communications between medical staff and clients

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Prepare and maintain written and computerized patient files

  • Be empathetic, sincere, kind and patient

  • Educate clients on parasite prevention, testing, products and clinic recommendations

  • Educate clients on the use of over-the-counter products such as shampoos and supplements.

  • Properly pronounce, know the meaning of, spell and correctly use common veterinary terms.

  • Perform duties guided by familiarity with clinic protocols and procedures.

  • Re-stock products, office supplies, client education materials, hospital brochures, etc.

  • Orchestrate the flow of clients and pets to and from reception area (check in, invoice completion, check out, prescription and product sales).

  • Assist with admitting patients by obtaining necessary information, answering questions and making clients comfortable with leaving their pets in our care.

  • Enter cash, check, credit and debit transactions in computer database

  • Accurately handle financial transactions and the sale of products and services

  • End of shift accounting and balancing on paper and coordinating with computer and credit card information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Experience multitasking in busy work environment

  • Reception experience a plus
